Abstract

Power Quality is the major problem in the distribution system where most of the loads currently used are nonlinear. Further, the increase in the huge demand for usage of renewable energy sources is rapidly increased to satisfy the consistently rising energy demand, which differs from the existing network systems and control radically. This paper presents the control, modeling, and design for optimal power quality enhancement of hybrid connected grid systems such as PV array, wind and battery storage using the intelligent technique. The proposed hybrid system is implemented using an Extended Search Algorithm(ESA)and hence said to be ESA Technique. The important objective of the proposed hybrid system is to stabilize the voltage, reducing power loss and mitigating the harmonic distortion. In an Extended search algorithm may parameters are considered to define the power quality issues, for example, Voltage, real and reactive power and current respectively. In light of the achieved dataset, ESA predicts the most optimal control signals. The proposed system is performed in MATLAB/SIMULINK and execution is compared with the existing technologies such as PI.
